JAGS 47, JV KNIGHTS 41: In the second meeting between the two teams on Tuesday Jan. 16, the boys JV basketball team suffered a narrow loss to the Jags for the second time this season. Sophomore Josh Zuniga said the team came out with a strong mindset of beating its top rival and getting revenge for the loss the team suffered at LBJ on Dec. 5. “Our intensity was way higher than the first game, knowing that the district title was on the line,” Zuniga said. “Playing on our home court was a huge boost.” He added that the team just needed to stay calm and keep up the pressure to win the game.. “We knew that the game could go either way,” he said, “but we were the better team.” The Knights led for most of the first half, but the Jaguars caught them and pushed ahead early in the second half.
