@mccallumvball Knights winning back-to-back bi-district titles. As this photo reminds Knight fans everywhere, junior hitter Greta Carlson had herself a game to remember.
In the photo, just after she executed a textbook 10-foot-line overpass kill to make the score 20-17 in the fourth and final set of the Knights’ 3-1 win over host Cedar Creek in the bi-district round of the 5A state playoffs, Carlson unleashes a primal scream as her teammates surrounding her leap to the rafters in celebration.
“I was feeling really happy and confident in that moment because I knew we were about to be bi-district champions,” Carson said after playing one of the best games of her Knight career.
Teammate Lexi Rosenblatt called her “unstoppable,” and she set a career-high for kills in a match with 25. If you are wondering what a 10-foot-line overpass kill is, don’t feel too bad. We wondered too.
