A Des Moines woman has been working desperately to help secure a kidney transplant for her husband for the second time in four years. Jessica Ramirez, a mother of four, has gone above and beyond to spread the message for her husband across Des Moines and the state of Iowa. Residents may see her driving her Chevy Tahoe with a written message on the back of her rear windshield that reads: “Someone I love needs a kidney. Type O.” Not only does Ramirez use her car to spread the message but has gone to social media, posted several fliers on stop signs across the city and wears a shirt to work that says her husband needs a kidney.
