Auburn Baseball debuted new batting helmets during the opening weekend series against Eastern Kentucky. The new navy helmets are painted in a matte finish and provided by Evoshield. The Tigers had previously worn Under Armour-made batting helmets. The finish had changed multiple times between matte and glossy in recent seasons. The design remains the same with the AU logo on the front being a 3D decal. The SEC logo is also a 3D decal on the backside of the shell. Much like last season, one helmet features an orange AU logo while the other showcases an all-white AU to match the cap worn for the game. While it's understandable to question the future relationship between Auburn and Under Armour with this move, this isn't indicative of things to come.
