Loyola Rugby and Occidental Rugby met on Sullivan Field Saturday, Feb. 17 for the annual Doherty Cup game, a match that honors Darren Doherty (‘02), a Loyola Rugby alum who passed away in 2003. The cup goes not to the winning team or the most valuable player, but to the player that exemplifies the traits that Doherty himself had in his time playing for the team. Loyola Rugby took home the win with a dominating 101-0 shutout, and No. 8 Nick Miller took home the cup — a testament to his dedication to the team. Click the link in the bio to read more.
