A contingent of Canisius students participating in our CHS Companions experience in Puerto Rico spent some of its first days of the trip restoring this statue of the Blessed Mother. The students are part of a group doing several tasks out of the Casa Cristo Redentor retreat facility. In the CHS Companions Program, juniors respond to the Ignatian call to service via immersion trips. There are three CHS Companions trips this week; students and faculty leaders are also serving communities in Guadalajara, Mexico and New Orleans, Louisiana. Last school year, there were CHS Companions trips to Montana, Maine, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Virginia and West Virginia.
