Last time we talked about macros aka carbs, protein, and fat. This week: ✨Micronutrients!✨ What are these? These are the vitamins and minerals present in each food that is necessary for our body. So for example carrots are high in vitamin a which is needed for our eyes and lemons are high in vitamin c! When we eat, we should take into account both macros and micros. As much as I encourage flexible dieting and incorporating fun foods like Poptarts (Oreos are my favorite).
