On the surface, a race looks like a bunch of runners stepping to the line to see who is the fastest, but inside the mind of every racer, they’re taking stock of the skills and tendencies of every other competitor in the race to strategize how to best play The Game... and every time they step to the line, The game is different.
Nick Willis is a silver and bronze Olympic medalist from New Zealand and has run a sub 4 mile at least once for the past 19 years. He plays The Game better than most.
