1 year ago today.
The single hardest thing I’ve ever had to do was come back from this surgery. If you’ve never torn your ACL, you will never understand. The most annoying thing a person can do is act like they understand when they have no idea. The amount of pain I went through and still go through on a daily. It will drive you crazy. I had to relearn how to walk, how to run, how to jump, etc. I had to relearn who I was as a person. People think after 9 months you’re just supposed to be good, which is a lie. You never feel the same. The mental toughness that you have to have to be able to keep going even when it feels hopeless is unmatched. However, I was taught so much through this injury. It changed my perspective completely. Through literal blood, sweat, and many tears I have progressed my way back. You don’t know if you really have faith the way you say you do until you go through something like this.
But nonetheless, I’m back.
