The best time for this technique is either in the morning or in the evening, when the sun casts long shadows. The Eye-AF helps a lot when handling objects in one hand and the camera in the other while trying not to become part of the shadow play yourself.” The beach photos: “These images were mostly taken during golden hour on a remote, rocky beach on the greek island Crete. To make colors appear more intense, it can help to adapt clothing to the surroundings and the given light. For this reason, I decided to use an orange swim cap and a red sun visor that both harmonized quite nicely with the reddish stones in the background.” ...
