Season Premiere. You just can’t beat those sunny afternoons at BMO. And playing against the Sounders no less. It’s become a cult derby over the past few years, and it never fails to deliver. Yesterday was no exception to kick things off in style. Camera flashes, the 3252 in full swing, and a flurry of stars. Both goals by the home side were showstoppers, and we even got to see a new character in Seattle’s Pedro de la Vega. The Argentine gave Lloris flashbacks with that slotted penalty. When the credits rolled, though, it was 2-1 for LA on the afternoon. A solid start to their season and nice way to shake off that MLS Cup defeat from last year. It’s a new dawn as they say. And they’re looking good yet again.
