Seeing the Alps (French, Italian, and Swiss) has been on the top of my bucket list for a looooong time. In a quick 24 hour roadtrip, we visited the Dolomites to cross Italian off that list. Y'all know I started crying in the car the moment we caught a glimpse of peaks. Mountains have always been significant for me. Something in the magnitude, the vastness, and the beauty leaves me awestruck every time. And I remind myself that I was made by the same Creator, crafted with even more care and love. There wasn't a single sound in the plain except for an occasional breeze and the bells on the cows grazing nearby. It was an exhale that God and I needed to take together. It was a complete gift to my weary spirit. Italy has been amazing, and this is a sight I will never forget.
