Today, Cleveland State University announced a major $650 million dollar renovation to the Downtown campus. This initiative comes from the new campus president, Laura Bloomberg and accelerates the goals of the CSU 2.0 initiative.
CSU 2.0 is a goal to raise employment and enrollment numbers, and today’s announced “Master Plan” aims to make the initiative more achievable by creating a mixed use campus that enhances academics, community partnerships and residential life.
✨CSU’s iconic Rhodes tower would see a major overhaul through this “Master Plan” including a student center, social spaces and 13 floors of residential housing for up to 500 students.
✨A new mixed-use arena is in the plans as part of a ‘Student Residential Experience District” and would replace the Wolstein Center as the hub for Vikings sporting events, but also concerts and public-facing events that invite the community to campus.
