Dr. Alireza Tavasoli is a board-certified doctor based at Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS), Tehran, Iran. He trained in pediatric neurology at the Children’s Medical Center (CMC), TUMS, and completed a heritable white matter disorders fellowship at Children’s National Medical Center (CNMC), Washington DC, and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Since 2010, he has been practicing at the Children’s Medical Center, TUMS, the largest and the most important children’s hospital for referrals in Iran. His practice specializes in the care of children with leukodystrophies, neurodegenerative and neurometabolic disorders, headache disorders, and hereditary ataxia. His interests also include research on acquired white matter disorders in children. He is a Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Pediatric Neurology at the Children’s Medical Center, and a faculty member of Tehran University of Medical Sciences.
