A new network design harnesses a combination of light sources to enable connectivity across space, air and underwater environments. The research team built an integrated network that can support both wired and wireless device access simultaneously and can carry out bidirectional data transmission between nodes. The network accomplished full-duplex real-time video communication and transmission of sensor data, images, and audio files via wired and wireless access.
