At the groundbreaking for the Otis Redding Center for the Arts it was announced that September 9th and 10th is officially Zelma and Otis Redding Weekend in Macon, Georgia but the celebration does not stop there! It was also announced that September 9th, Otis Redding's birthday, is officially Otis Redding Day across the state of Georgia!
