A serene scene ☀️ NASA photographers captured the sunset pictured here near the Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB) at NASAKennedy Space Center in Florida on Jan. 30, 2024. One of the largest buildings in the world by area, the iconic VAB covers eight acres (~32k square meters), is 525 feet (160 meters) tall and 518 feet (157 meters) wide. Completed in 1966, the VAB is currently used for assembly of NASA’s Space Launch System rocket for #Artemis missions and remains the only building in which rockets were assembled that carried humans to the surface of another world.
