My great grandparents immigrated to California from Puebla, Mexico, and my great great grandfather had been the mayor of Puebla and owned a Talavera pottery store. Yesterday I got to visit the town for the first time and connect with my family history. Puebla is known for its pottery, as well as poblano peppers and mole (I also got talked into trying crickets, peep the video). You can see my great grandmother and her first-born in the last photo.
