This is the lamb
Spotless, blameless, bred and raised for one purpose
Brought before the knife as the perfect sacrifice
The messiah, the promised triumphant king
Who puts his majesty aside, and born as a baby
The lamb who speaks of love and compassion
Yet to the shepherds he preached a profound disatisfaction
These pharisees, wolves amongst the sheep
Hiding behind pride, forked tongues behind their teeth
But this lamb didn't come to throw down but to lay down
His life as an atoning sacrifice
Blood spilled, undoing suffering, 
from this lamb on a cross
Our blind eyes can see and chained hands are freed
This is the lamb beckoning us into eternity
This is the Lion
Teeth bared, claws sharp
Roaring, stalking, all done with dying
Now he's come - for judgement, the just judge
Who's come to put an end to the broken
To shine his light into the night
