Affordable housing is an important issue in our community. Here’s the latest on how we are helping. In city limits, there are currently 502 units planned at 7 different locations in various stages of development or under construction. Additionally, the City Council awarded a total of $14.5 million towards permanent and affordable housing projects from state and local fiscal recovery funds. Here are four projects that are being supported. @blindcenterofnv is developing 100-units of affordable housing for the blind and visually impaired. More than 90% of blind and visually impaired people who visit the current Blind Center are low income. @catholiccharitiessnv will also provide permanent and supportive housing to individuals who were formerly experiencing homelessness.
