On March 5, a group of NASA astronaut candidates, known as "The Flies," graduated after 2.5 years of basic training. Among them is Andre Douglas, who was raised in Chesapeake. With their graduation, they are now eligible for spaceflight missions 🚀 to the moon's surface and to NASA's lunar-orbiting Gateway space station. Their missions will support the Artemis program, which aims to land astronauts at the moon's south pole by 2026.
