We are just days away from the opening of "Visions of Night: Baltimore Nocturnes" and the Artist Mingle on Saturday, April 30, 2-3:30 pm. Meet the photographers featured in this new exhibition on night photography from the MCHC collections and contemporary photographers.
The artists mingling on Saturday are:
Sydney J. Allen, aka aBaltimoregriot is a Baltimore-based visual storyteller known for her work in portrait and documentary photography. Her work discovers themes such as the individuals and community spaces of black folk living in Baltimore.
Webster Phillips III is maintaining the photojournalist tradition of his father (Irving H. Phillips Jr.) and grandfather (I. Henry Phillips Sr.) producing an artistic body of work about the Baltimore of his generation.
John Clark Mayden is a photographer, author, and attorney. He authored Baltimore Lives: The Portraits of John Clark Mayden, his collected photographic works of African American Baltimore street scenes for over two decades....
