Kate Cox is one of 27 million American women of reproductive age now living in a state with an abortion ban. As proud parents to a little boy and little girl, Kate and Justin were overjoyed last summer when they learned she was pregnant with baby number three. A few weeks into Kate’s pregnancy, she was informed that her baby would not survive and that her own health was also at risk. But because of Texas’s extreme abortion laws and the Supreme Court’s overturning of Roe v. Wade, Kate was unable to receive the care she needed in her home state, even after she went to court to plea for help – forcing her to travel out of state and adding pain and suffering to what was already a devastating time in her life.
