Veteran linebacker Larry Dean has announced his retirement after eight years in the CFL but will remain with the Saskatchewan Roughriders as the team’s new player personnel coordinator in football operations. The six-foot, 225-pound defender played 108 career regular season games for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats (2016-18), Edmonton Football Team (2019), and Saskatchewan Roughriders (2021-23), recording 570 defensive tackles, 15 special teams tackles, 11 sacks, seven interceptions, and eight forced fumbles.
