This week marks the 10th anniversary that Bare Feet first aired EVER on TV, on NYC Life. A woman took that chance on me - she said YES when everyone else said NO. And the opportunity to give platform to the women in my family through this Bare Feet Journey has been an honor and a privilege.
Most of you know of my Nonna Pina - you saw her in my very first pilot episode in Minturno, Italy - another talented and caring women was behind the camera capturing her beauty. Nonna housed us in her little farm house while filming, she fed us, and she even taught me (and all of you) how to make one of my favorite dishes, which she learned from her mother and her mother’s mother before.
