There is nothing like being a beginner skier, taking the wrong ski lift, ending up on a red slope in a blizzard and having 15 minutes to get your butt down the mountain to pick your kid up from ski school!!!! But mountains maketh the man! And once you realise the only way is down and you HAVE to do, you DO it! Skiing builds grit and resilience away from work, away from screens and I'm grateful for the experience. If you're looking for a super family-friendly ski resort that HAS snow go for Trysil in Norway. It's fantastic, extremely accomodating of kids and chilled with zero arrogant people.
