A note from Michele 🖋️ Today is #IWD. We celebrate Women’s achievements and rights that were gained by thousands of brave women who stood up for themselves to fight for better wages, better working conditions and voting rights. Not too long ago, being a business owner or a coach as a woman was unthinkable. Being a female athlete was “cute”. Today, I’m thanking the generations of women before us who braved criticism, violence and judgement so that we can have the same freedoms, opportunities and choices as our male peers. I’m thanking my mother, who made her way and showed us a life of ambition AND loving support. I’m thanking my father who wasn’t a “girl dad” but a dad who instilled discipline and integrity. In 2024, we may take these freedoms for granted. In recent years, we’ve seen how the freedoms & choices that so many women fought for can be swiftly taken away.
