It was all yellow 🇪🇨. Most shops and restaurants were closed in Queens this morning, but Ecuadorian Food II was open bright and early to welcome La Tri fans in the area. Big speakers, a makeshift projector screen, and tastes of home set the stage for a dream debut for Ecuador at the World Cup. Families were still shuffling in as Enner Valencia’s opening goal was disallowed, but the loyal fans — young and old — still had the chance to celebrate two goals from their talisman forward. Although they’re miles away from Qatar and miles away from home, these dedicated communities will bring World Cup fever right to North American shores.
