Shirley Cruz is without a doubt the greatest women’s soccer player in Costa Rican and Central American history. Her achievements speak for her: she’s a two-time UEFA Champions League winner, a six-time Division 1 Féminine champion, and twice a member of CONCACAF’s yearly Best XI. According to the IFFHS, Cruz is the only player outside the US that is part of CONCACAF’s all-time Dream Team. And that’s quite the accomplishment.
