Students, faculty, and staff gathered for the Graduate Student Council (GSC) Pritzker Molecular Engineering (PME) Women's History Month social event inside the Eckhardt Research Center at
@UChicago. During the event, PME professors Laura Gagliardi, Shirley Meng, and Cathy Nagler were among the many panelists who led discussions and provided their insight about collaboration and inclusivity at the PME.
Jessica Morgan and Brandi Carr (pictured) were among the panelists. Carr, who facilitated the event, says the goal of the event is to celebrate women and offer a safe space to discuss balancing work and personal life in the competitive field of molecular engineering.
“The Women's History Month event, sponsored by the GSC and EDI, allowed women to be heard, seen, and acknowledged by others. We can continue the tradition by offering a forum for innovation, collaboration, and discussion. Women are essential to society and PME.”
