Last week I was at Lake Cahuilla watching 10 women run endless circles around the lake that I swam in for Ironwoman Indian Wells 70.3 back in Dec! I realized I never really shared much about how I prepped for the race, so let’s take it back…
For this race, the bikes had to be in the transition zone the night before, so I couldn’t warm up on the bike. The water was freeeezing and I didn’t want to be in there longer than necessary (my hands especially get so cold).
So, I did a little jog and some drills to get my HR up and my body activated and then I put my wetsuit on and headed for the beach!
