What is LUX's "Thumb Rule" and why do we use it?🤔⬇️ All LUX employees are trained to use the "Thumb Rule" when setting your flatware🍽️ The "Thumb Rule" uses the length of the first thumb knuckle to determine the placement of your flatware from the tables edge. Let's break it down: 1. Starting with flatware closest to plate, use length of first thumb knuckle to determine placement from tables edge 2. When setting a straight edge table, align bottom edges of additional silverware (2nd pic) 3. When setting a rounded edge table, align top edges of additional silverware (3rd pic) There are many more technicalities when it comes to setting your tables! Such as the distance between the tip of a knife and the bottom edge of a glass, the proper method for folding a napkin, and so much more!
