Say hello to Courtesy – she's one of the almost 900 recruits currently training at the Victoria Police Academy. ⁣ ⁣ While Courtesy’s first application was unsuccessful, it didn’t deter her – instead leading her in a different direction. ⁣ ⁣ Determined to find a role where she could give more back to the community, she started a Diploma of Legal Services where she was accepted into the Magistrates’ Court Trainee Registrar Program – a four-year program that provides insight into managing court processes. ⁣ ⁣ Through the program, Courtesy met many officers who encouraged her to give her application a second go and she successfully reapplied at the beginning of 2023. ⁣ ⁣ Living 90 minutes from the Victoria Police Academy, Courtesy made the decision to live-in despite being a single mum.
