We often talk about the dangers of fishing entanglement on marine species. Check out this video from NOAA showing trained responders freeing an entangled whale. In the video, you can see fishing rope wrapped around the whale. The rest of the gear trailed about 50 feet behind the whale with several masses of entangled lines just behind the tail.
