My first outdoor race is tomorrow. The last month has been boot camp. I finished workouts that I have never had in my whole career as an athlete. Things I never had to overcome, I did, and at a much older age. The more my body and age tried to question if it could handle the workload the more my mind showed my body how to step tf up. My legs will be heavier than normal for this race. Coach did not taper or rest me. This is a common tactic used on track athletes at the beginning of the season to get them to run tired and learn how to push through. Mentally is was grueling. My motivation at times caved but I learned a trick for when you have no motivation Consistency is key when you want to be a better. Trying again and again till it clicks. Trying even on the days you want to slack. The hard work has been put in now time to see how much strength I got from trenches 📍 First race university of Miami Track, Saturday #builtnotbough #toughest
