A year ago, my friend joeynottoli let me photograph the isuhockey game with him.
IN ALL HONESTY...
I’ve never been to a hockey game so I was excited but nervous at the same time. With some guidance, I ended up getting some good shots but there were a few that summed up that night.
As I kept going through my images I realized I needed to work on determining the ISO settings for the low light situations to compensate for the shutter speed. I believe I was around 1400 and 1/250 if not a bit higher. I did get a lot of motion in a couple of them which was A-OKAY!
Looking back at these now has shown that I can always improve and take that knowledge and apply it towards other events. Being at my first hockey game was very rewarding and I couldn’t have had that opportunity without Joey and Jeff leading me the way.
What was your first experience where you felt confident and still pushed yourself to be better?
