How did I find myself loving band and sports at the college level? ⁣ ⁣ Well, I’ve always been an athlete since middle school. I did track & field, basketball, and water polo. I gained an interest in music when I was in 7th grade. I didn’t know what to do as a new percussionist. It was a rough year and in 8th grade, I developed my technique with lots of coordination and patience. ⁣ ⁣ Throughout high school, I played bassoon my sophomore year and tenor sax my junior year. Up to now I still play but not as often as I did before. My interests in both activities geared me to photography because I enjoy the fluidity but also the adrenaline that comes with it. ⁣ ⁣ I ended up loving band and sports in college because it’s a different feeling compared to high school band and sports. I didn’t really have much collaboration with other groups at school but at ISU impart of so many awesome teams's that I know will keep on my feet.
