I grew up hearing stories about my dad- how he was a top recruit, how he played at Texas, how he was drafted. My dad was my first connection to elite sports and seeing how your play could be something you leave behind; something you could be proud of, and something you (and the people that came after you) could always remember. As I started my own journey with softball, I wanted to do things in a way I’d always be proud of; I wanted to choose what I left behind for the people that would come after me. Now that I coach, my everyday is different, but the goal is still the same. I still want to work in a way that will make myself proud and to create a legacy that will be remembered. My new glove with Easton will be excellent. It’ll be my first project with a company that I’ve known since my start and has left its mark in the game.
