There are some things you can teach: Throwing mechanics, body position, glove movements- And some things you can’t. I can’t teach these girls to want to be out in 95 degree heat in Riverside for 2 days- they just have to have that when they show up. Excited to be around girls and coaches that know the extra drive it takes to WANT to be better so bad it doesn’t matter the conditions. It takes more than talent; more than learning the skills- It takes you learning how much you can take and it takes seeing yourself work through the hard stuff time and time again.
