It only feels like a job because constantly bringing new ideas and passion and fight takes work. It takes energy and it takes dedication. It would be easier if some days I could go through the motions. It would be easier if I could take a day off without thinking about the girls I didn’t get to see. It would be easier but I wouldn’t find as much meaning or purpose, I’m sure. Some days I will admit I forget to be thankful for what I get to do- some days I feel tired and wishful of a job I could leave and not think about after 5pm. But I think it’s a similar feeling some get about needing a break from softball- when girls wonder if their favorite players ever wanted to quit or to just be a normal kid- We wonder but there are those of us that know- we wouldn’t have our lives any other way.
