On Saturday we went out in the rain in preparation for a very special launch on February 11th. One week from today: I get to show everyone what I’ve put my heart into for the last year: defenseclub. There are moments and memories that define us as athletes, but nothing will stay with us longer than who we are in the face of adversity; WHO we define ourselves as with the way we speak to ourselves, let others treat us, and hold ourselves accountable for. When it’s all said and done, the way you handled yourself in the hardest of times: when doubt clouded the way forward; when the emotions of struggling made you move slower and fear more failure- the person who came out of that stronger- THAT is what you’ll take with you forever. I’m speaking to young athletes everywhere- this isn’t a pretty road. It doesn’t look the same for everyone.
