Everyone has their hurdles.
I found that mine have always been my own thoughts.

When I played, I was better at hiding how much my failures affected me than at moving passed them.
My goal was to look like I had it together. I knew I was the one that had to deal with what was going on inside of me anyways, so why would I burden others with talking about it?

I had the first part right.
I was the one who had the power to get through the thoughts, but what I didn't realize was that I didn't have the tools yet. I needed people. It's OK to need them.

Maybe if we think we don't talk about what's going on, they wont realize how hurt we are by our own failure.

Maybe people won't see the mess going on inside of us.
But then how do we climb out? How do we get better & healthy? Isn't that the most important?

There's power in reaching out to those around you.
