The very first week Bryce and I were married, we signed up to take Financial Peace University with our church. Anyone that spent time with us (especially in those early months), knows it was lifechanging for us. It taught us the value of budgeting, telling our money where to go, spending less, chunking our goals in to baby steps, and a biblical perspective on finances. Ultimately, it got us on the same page with finances, which as most marriages know, is so important! It gave us a few tools to help us accomplish our goals. I am here to say, we are officially DEBT FREE (except our house). In a year with a lot of ups and downs, it so so great to have something to celebrate! We picked up extra jobs, found other ways to hang out with friends besides eating out, cash-flowed my grad-school, coordinated driving one vehicle, drank coffee from home, said no to things that we didn’t budget...
