Our journey to debt freedom started in 2013 with Financial Peace University. We paid off all of our student loans and a car loan in one year, and then coasted on steps 4 & 6 for a while. In 2018 we decided to get gazelle intense about paying off our house. We were "sick and tired of being sick and tired". We buckled down, slashed the budget, and dumped anything extra on the mortgage. We set a goal to pay off our house in 3 years, and we hit our goal! During this time we also cash flowed a new-to-us car while still contributing to retirement.
