Two years ago, we heard a crazy man (daveramsey) ranting on the radio about the harsh truth - you can wander into debt, but you can’t wander out. It was like he was yelling directly at us from the back seat 😬 We wrote out a detailed plan to becoming debt free and never looked back. Our journey has not been easy...we sacrificed a ton and cut our lifestyle to the bone. Every month we’d create a budget for only the essentials, and the rest went to debt. We said no (a lot). No vacations, no eating out, and date nights became budget meetings 😂 Although it sounds miserable, it was 100% worth it to be where we are today. What I’ve realized is that this journey has changed so much more than just our finances. We had to to face ourselves in a way we never had before, accepting that it was an attachment to material items and the need for instant gratification that had gotten us in...
