We decided that the future we wanted didn’t include minimum payments, but instead, allowed us more flexibility for things that matter. We have since paid off $30,749! 😱 That included 2 car loans, student loans, and credit card debt. Halleluyur. 🙌🏾 We budgeted, shopped frugally, packed our lunches, and tried our best to avoid instant gratification. We still traveled some & said yes as often as reasonably possible, so we were by no means deprived, but we also learned to say no to things that we didn’t value. We have some BIG plans ahead - and we’ll get there much faster without over $1,000 of minimum payments every month 😵 Also - yes, we still have a (modest) mortgage.
