Fast forward 3 years and we’ve paid off a total of 164K in student loans, while also cash flowing our wedding and preparing for a baby which included taking an unpaid maternity leave. This was the result of a lot of self-discipline, of sticking to a budget, of saying “no” to things we wanted but didn’t need, of giving up many weekends to work a side gig for extra cash, and of living on less than one income.
