About 4 1/2 years ago, we made our first student loan payments and we had the crazy idea to pay off our student loans as quickly as possible. We know people that spent decades paying their student loans and we did not want to be those people. We paid off about $135,000 in student loans, a personal loan, a car loan, a few credit cards, and braces in 4 1/2 years! Student loans were about $92,000 of that total (and about $20,000 of that was interest that accrued AFTER graduation! 🤢). It may sound like this was pretty simple for us to accomplish, but no part of this was easy. We sacrificed our time and our money to get here.
