In this time we’ve had 2 kids, moved 4 times, AND paid off $124,698 in debt. We started our “Debt Free Journey” in February 2015. We made decent money but still felt money was tight. Around that time, we stumbled across Dave Ramsey’s podcast and started following his Baby Steps. Our debt included 2 cars and a few other smaller loans, but the large majority was my law school loan. Most of the money we brought in was being paid back out to make monthly payments. We decided to hold ourselves accountable – we got ourselves into debt, and it was up to us to get ourselves out of debt. The past 3 years we have been living a very frugal lifestyle.
