I was going on my second deployment and didn’t have much planned for life after coming home so I wanted to take control of my finances since I knew I would be making a good amount of money. - During that deployment I paid off all my credit cards, furniture, and my brand new jeep that I brought in 2015. I was also able to save a 6 month emergency fund (which I later used to pay debt) since I was not sure about a job when I came home. - I came home and kept budgeting. I FAILED along the road, was cash flowing undergrad and now graduate school, and OVERSPENT. But no matter how I did the month before every month was a fresh start to reach my DREAMS.
